AHEAD's Home for the Holidays Cash Raffle
AHEAD is thrilled to launch the "Home for the Holidays" Raffle, offering participants a chance to win a grand prize of $20,000 in cash just in time for the holiday season! In addition to the grand prize, winners can also claim cash prizes of $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.
Each ticket costs $100, with only 500 tickets available, making this an exclusive opportunity for ticket holders to win big while making a difference. The raffle drawing will be held on December 31, 2024, at noon on Facebook Live.
In the event that all 500 tickets are not sold, prizes will be awarded as a percentage of total ticket sales: the grand prize winner will receive 40%, first place 5%, second place 3%, and third place 2%. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward supporting AHEAD’s mission to provide affordable housing and services to the community.
Don’t miss your chance to celebrate the season with a potential $20,000 grand prize and to support a worthwhile cause!

IRA Charitable Rollover
In law terms, a “qualified charitable distribution” is used to describe an IRA Charitable Rollover. A qualified charitable distribution is money that individuals who are 70½ or older may transfer from their traditional IRA to eligible charitable organizations. There is a $100,000 cap for charitable distributions from IRAs per year. Individuals may exclude the amount distributed directly to an eligible charity from their gross income. This gift can also count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), but it will not be taxed as income. Your spouse or partner can do the same. Because an IRA Charitable Rollover is not taxed, it will replace itemized charitable deductions. If you’d like to support AHEAD through an IRA Charitable Rollover or if you want more detailed information, please contact your IRA Custodian.
Bequests
A bequest is anything you leave to a nonprofit organization through your will or trust. Any property, money, securities or personal belongings you have at the time of your death can be gifted to a nonprofit such as AHEAD.
You can make a bequest to AHEAD by creating a new will, adding an amendment to your existing will or naming AHEAD in your living trust. You may also designate AHEAD as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or qualified retirement plan. In doing so, you leave a legacy to AHEAD, while enjoying the assets you need to maintain your lifestyle. In addition, you are able to distribute some or all of your assets, tax-free! For more information about bequests, please call (603) 444-1377 or email us.
