"Secrets of Homebuying"This 8-hour, one day, workshop will provide you with an overview of everything you need to know about the homebuying process. AHEAD’s certified educators along with local professionals will guide you, step by step, through this overwhelming process. When you complete the workshop you can schedule an individual assessment with our Housing Counselor who will help you develop your personal homebuying plan. The workshop fee is $45.00 per household and includes all class materials and lunch. Workshops are held monthly on a rotating basis in Littleton, Plymouth, Berlin and Lancaster and run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Check out our upcoming workshops schedule. "Cents and Sensibility"This 10-hour course, provided over a period of 5-weeks in 2-hour evening sessions, is designed to help you create and maintain a household budget. Other topics covered include; Understanding Credit and Debt, Income Tax Strategies, Saving on Insurance and Financial Crisis to Financial Freedom. By the end of this class you will have a real household budget and a financial plan for success. The workshop fee is $20.00 per household and includes all class materials. Classes are held on a rotating basis in Littleton, Berlin and Plymouth and run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check out our upcoming class schedule. "Beyond the Basics"This 10-hour course, provided over a period of 5-weeks in 2-hour evening sessions, focuses on helping you become a successful homeowner and to teach you how to protect your investment. This class gives new homeowners the skills they need to begin accumulating wealth through asset building. Topics include; Avoiding Predatory Lenders, Homeowners Insurance, Taxes as a Homeowner and the Basics of Investing (2 evenings). The workshop fee is $45 per household and includes all class materials. Classes are held in Littleton, Berlin and Plymouth and run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Check out our upcoming class schedule. "Mortgage Rescue Clinic"This 2-hour clinic, provided in a one evening session, provides existing homeowners with the various options available to them if they are behind, or expect to get behind, with their mortgage payments. This clinic will give each homeowner an opportunity to hear the pro's and con's of each option available to them and determine which will work best for their situation. Topics include; Rescue Funds, Forbearance Agreements, Loan Modifications, Short Sales and Bankruptcy. This workshop is FREE to all Grafton and Coös County residents but space is limited so pre-registration is required.
